Koala Captains

Kathy Binks' Koala Captain program is our student leadership program.  Run by Mr. Mayer and Mrs. Campos, students go through an application process, including an interview, hoping to become a Koala Captain.  Applications are sent out to students approximately the beginning of May.  Students apply and are granted an interview.  Interviews are conducted by current Koala Captains.  Not all students become a Koala Captain, there are only a limited number of spots.  

Koala Captains help with many things at Kathy Binks.  Here are a couple things they help with:  They help kindergarten students during arrival in the morning to ensure they eat breakfast and get to the meeting place of their teacher.  They set the spirit days and make posters to remind students what to do.  They participate in announcements every morning including a special video announcement every Wednesday.  They also help with our Pep Rally once a month!
